MISSION: to honor and educate the whole child by equally engaging body, mind, emotion, and spirit.
"Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives. The need for imagination, a sense of truth, and a feeling of responsibility--these three forces are the very nerve of education."
"In linking their curriculum and schooling toward children's developmental stages, Waldorf schools seem to have a unique sense of what children are ready for." They "promote creativity and critical thinking in an interdisciplinary fashion...exactly the direction public education needs to move."
PLEASE JOIN US AT ONE OF OUR UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS
You and your family are invited to join us for this Spring's Stone Soup-- a burgeoning tradition at our school-- and this time, it will double as an Enrollment Event.
Enrollment Event & Quarterly Stone Soup on March 13th from 4-6pm
This is a GREAT opportunity to meet teachers, experience school culture, ask questions, and receive enrollment info.
Join us each Wednesday morning from 9:30am-10:30am with your little ones and bring a friend.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO MOTHERSONG 2/19.
Mamas, papas and children (infants, toddlers, pre-K) gather together in community and song. All songs are heart centered and easy to sing along. We teach our children the magic of music and create a safe space to explore our voices, big or small. For parents, it is an uplifting network of support, and an opportunity for awakening our true potential as guides and care-takers of our future generation.
No musical experience necessary. Proudly hosted by Spirit of the Lake Community School. Led by local musician and parent Kristy Marie. Suggested donation of $5.
